Sorry things have been a bit slow around here. I’m sort of enjoying the calm before the storm. I ‘ve been doing major cleaning around my house, because I know here in a few days, it’s going to be completely neglected. I just looked at my calendar and I have 16 sessions booked in the next 20 days! Yikes – what was I thinking??? Oh well, it will be fun! But in the meantime, to liven things up a bit, I thought I would post a few pictures of the fun photo wall I recently put together. You may remember, these images were taken by my friend Jayme Montoya of Lucid Graphic Design. We really loved them so much and I debated how I should display them. This wall display consists of 9 12×12s mounted on foamboard and just stuck to my wall with those little velcro tabs. Sounds a little tacky, huh? But it looks so awesome! I have lots of designs that I can show you after a session, where we can plug in your images and see exactly how they will look in a wall grouping, so keep that in mind if you are getting portraits this fall.

Next, I thought I would show you this fun little product I am now offering. It is a Custom Proof Box. They are available in 4×6 and 5×7. They are beautifully assembled with a favorite image from your session and hold all of the proofs from your session as well. What a great way to display and store your images!

Something a Little Different Boise, Idaho Commercial Photographer

A couple of weeks ago I had an amazing opportunity to do a commercial shoot for a company called I/O BIO Merino. Tim & Greg (owners) had the models, the clothes, and the locations chosen – I just showed up with my camera and had a blast. I have to say, the models were awesome! Amber and Matthias did an amazing job just goofing around in fabulous looking clothes. Check out Matthias’ website – he is this crazy french dude (I hope “crazy french dude” isn’t offensive, I couldn’t think of any other way to describe him;o) ) that jumps of bridges, cliffs, etc for a living! Tim was nice enough to give me some of the clothing at the end of the shoot and it is soooooo nice. Seriously, you have to check it out. It is the softest fabric, in fact, I’m wearing the track pants right this very minute and I love them. So, in case you missed the link above, here it is again: I/O BIO Merino

I’ve put some goals in place this fall to really help my clients when it comes to ordering their portraits. I’ve found that most people are very overwhelmed when it comes to deciding what to do with their images.
