I had such a fabulous time Saturday hanging out with one of my favorite photographers, Miss Cyndee Wanyonyi of Ashki Photography in Boise. Whenever she asks me to second shoot with her, I jump at the chance! It was a beautiful summer day with a gorgeous bride, a handsome groom and a stunning location. Sounds like a recipe for an amazing wedding, and as you can see from the pictures, it truly was!

This might sound a little dramatic, but I have been DREAMING about shooting a wedding like Jessica & Aaron’s. This was actually just the reception, but they put so much thought into every adorable vintage detail.

It was held at the historic museum in town.

They had a slideshow playing in the old auditorium.

All the letters he wrote Jessica while serving a mission for his church.

They had a photo booth set up inside with TONS of old hats and other fun props.

Doing the Hokey Pokey up in the 3rd floor ballroom.

Love was in the air last Saturday as Drew & Melissa tied the knot surrounded by so many friends and family. 400+ friends and family to be a little more precise. They were married in the beautiful Corpus Christi Catholic Church, with the reception following at the Four Rivers Cultural Center. It was a beautiful ceremony and a giant party afterwards. Congratulations Drew + Melissa!

I had the honor of second shooting an amazing wedding with my good friend Cyndee Wanyonyi of Ashki Photography. She was kind enough a few years ago to let me tag along with her as she shot a wedding when I was trying to decide if I would take on wedding photography. So, I was elated when she asked me to second shoot this wedding at Redfish Lake last week. I have lived in Idaho for 36 years and never made the trek to Stanley, Idaho to witness God’s creation at it’s finest. The views were stunning, the bride and groom were stunning, pretty much everything about the day was, well … stunning!

In case you haven’t been over to our brand spankin-new wedding blog (thanks to Sonnet), I thought I would post a few pictures here from the amazing wedding we photographed last Saturday. Photographing weddings has been so rewarding for us. It’s crazy to think only a year ago we said “NO WAY – We’ll never do weddings!” We’re so glad we decided to take on the challenge. Every wedding we shoot reminds us of what marriage should be: two people totally and completely taken with each other and committed to spending the rest of their lives together. When Jesse saw Monica for the first time, it was so emotional and beautiful. I get a little emotional myself just thinking about it. Here are just a few images from the day.
